I think I may have lactose intolerance...what do you think?
I think Im all of a sudden developing lactose intolerance but im not sure. I never used to have this problem. Im 16 years old and ive been a cheese addict for 7 years. Ive been able to eat it fine until now. Now all of a sudden my body's having a very unnatural reaction to cheese and milk. For the past few weeks, cheese is not agreeing with my system. I drank a big glass of milk today all of it and a bunch of cheese and 30 minutes later I got really bad stomach pain and bloating and I was extremley " gassy" sorry for the info and now 3 and a half hours later I have bad diarrhea. Could this possibly be lactose intolerance? I talked to my mom about this problem Im having and she said to try not eating or drinking any dairy products for a full 24 hours to see if dairy is whats causing the problem and im gonna try that. And Im going to the doctor soon to get it checked out but im thinking lactose intolerance is the problem because I dont eat cheese or milk until after school and im perfectly fine until I eat it and then my body goes crazy. Could this be a dairy allergy as well?I also remember a year or so ago I had diarrhea after eating ice creamIs vomiting a symptom of lactose intolerance? I havent vomited yet, but im worried that I will...if Li is the problem

Could these be syptoms of lactose intolerance?
Okay, so I've been drinking cartons of chocolate milk at lunch for the past two days. I usually don't drink just plain milk, as my body... just doesn't like it I guess. I've been getting stomach aches recently and this is kinda ackward after I went to the bathroom a few minutes ago, my poop was half green. Could these be because of the milk I've been drinking?Note I eat foods with milk and dairy in them, I just usally don't drink it plain.

Can you build tolerance to lactose intolerance?
I forget what food it was, but I seen something where somebody was allergic to some type of food, and they continued to eat it, and slowly their intolerance for that food whithered away. I believe that I am lactose intolerant, and I dislike taking supplements, because they largely don't work for me. But there is this belief out there that if you're allergic to some type of food, just keep consuming it and you'll build up tolerance to it. Here's an article link discussing milk sciencedaily.com releases 2000 01 000127082535.htmWhat do you guys think? Can people build tolerance to foods they are allergic to?
Lactose Intolerance or something else?
I have been having a bloating problem for a while. A while after eating certain foods mainly recently I experience bloating, cramps, and gas. I have been doing food elimination and re introduction to find out what it may be. I eat very healthy to begin with. Only eat meat about once a month. Don't really eat chicken ever. Fish is also maybe a couple times a month. I don't drink alcohol or caffeine and stay away from sugar and preservatives. Mostly my diet consists of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans, nuts, seeds, and some dairy like plain whole milk yogurt and cheese and butter . I drink at least 8 glasses of water a day and don't eat more than 1500 calories... But it seems no matter what I have a certain mild reaction to certain foods. It pretty much only happens when I eat something with preservatives. The last 3 times I experienced a reaction, I ate a bowl of cereal with milk both organic , a slice of pumpkin pie from a store like Vons or Ralphs, I don't remember from where. . . , and 2 Hershey's fun size special dark chocolates. A lot of the time I feel really bloated and tend to only gain weight around my middle. I also haven't gotten my period in about 6 or 7 months. I'm not exactly sure if I'm doing anything wrong. . . But I thought it was lactose intolerance until I realized that L.I. is an issue of quantity meaning, you have a small amount and it won't affect you . I cut out dairy for 2 days and 3 hours ago had a half a cup of yogurt and nothing happened. Am I just having a hard time with preservatives or is this normal? Sorry for the super long question Thanks
